New price Change on the PS3????

Does anybody think there will be price change in april on the ps3 Im thinking about getting one

I wouldn't hold my breath. Analysts believe they need a price cut soon. But Sony's last statement in regards to cost seems to imply that they are not going to be price competetive anytime soon.

It kinda sucks that the first gen PS3 were backward compatible with the PS2 games and because of a $50 chip, Sony decides not to include them in the 2nd gen PS3. I thought the counter person in Game Stop was joking when she told me that the new PS3 is only $400 BUT if I wanted to get the PS3 that was backwards compatible, they had a used one for $450

What is interesting to me is that they can do software emulation, but they don't include it in all PS3's. While it wasn't perfect, it would still offer some BC. Hell, they could probably distribute it as downloadable content. And if cost is of great concern, perhaps even provide it with a nominal fee for those who would like to have it.
