What up everyone!

I'm new to this forum and my name is Tony. I plan to buy a used 06 M35 hopefully this weekend. I was involved in a car accident where my car was totaled. My friend made a blog post about it on his blog if you'd like to see http://jdmlexus.wordpress.com/...ride/.

I was hoping to get some feedback on the deal I found at my local Infiniti dealer. Also, maybe some tips on what to look for in regards to making sure everything is working. It's an 06 M35 with Tech package and has 45935 miles for $26995. It's the brown color or Umbria I think and has bourbon interior. Has some scratches but nothing major and I found one dent. Also the exhaust tips are scraped pretty good possibly due to a high driveway. I really like this car but I feel like the price could be high. Just wanted some opinions on it what you guys might think I can haggle it down to with the salesman.

Anyways, I'm 90% sure I'm getting this car as soon as my settlement check comes in and I look forward to being a part of this forum. I'll most likely be VIP'ing the car since most of my friends are in the import scene.

Way too much money for an 06 with 46k miles. I got my 06 fully loaded, no dents dings or scratches, perfect interior, new tires, brakes, belts, etc. With 70k miles though. For only $20,000 flat.

Welcome Tony.

I have only owned my car for six months, but for Cdn, I purchased an M35X, liquid platinum and bourbon with 62000 km (about 38k miles) for 30 Cdn (about 25 500 US). They also put new tires on it and cleaned up the curb rash on the rims and had it detailed. I think I paid a little bit too much for it, but I got the cars complete service history from the original dealer, so I felt OK about it.

I think that the price you mentioned might be a little high. With the 45 000 miles, scratches and a dent, i think that I would expect not much more than say 20-24 000 if the condition were good and you knew the history.

Having said that, its an awesome car. I love driving it - more through the twistys than the straights, but it is fun to punch it and hear that sweet engine sound too.

Get new tires, new brake pads, 45,000 mile service, get it certified and get the elite wrap warranty for that price and I think you will have done fine. Otherwise they should drop the price about 2k.

You should probably be able to get the price down some, but keep in mind that prices on these cars seem to have gone up in the last 4-5 months. I was talking to my sales rep about it and she said given the economy and the fact that there's a new M model coming out soon, the new ones aren't leaving the lot as quickly as they typically would. And the 2-3 year old ones are in really high demand since you're getting arguably one of the best deals as far as car for the money in the luxury sedan segment. As a point of reference, I got my 06 M35 sport CPO w/ 32,000 for $27k 4 months ago. If it was on the lot now, they'd be asking $32k for it. YMMV.

hmmm.... Yeah I'm going to see if I can bring it down about 2k and for CPO they said it's $897. Hopefully I'll be picking up the car tonight.

And to Zamba my back okay. I was a bit sore and my neck hurt for the next couple days but doctor said I have a clean bill of health and I feel fine. thanks for asking.

Well, I hope you pick the car up!

you won't be sorry - its a class car, with one of the best records of repair.

Best of luck, and please post pix of your car. Don't forget to post pix of that gorgeous bourbon (I even like the name) interior!

definitely get that price down. I just bought my m35x from a private seller a week back, umbria w brown interior, journey package, all service records, 45k service done, new brakes(ceramic), new tires, 50k miles for 19k. My car has one ding as well, with clean bumpers.

I am now a proud new owner of a 06 M35 Umbria with brown interior with the Technology package. Unfortunately I was not able to get the price down any lower but I got CPO and it brought my APR down to 3.9% so not bad. I will post pics a soon.
