That seems like a pretty good deal. The only common problem, which I am sure a moderator will tell you more about, is oil consumption. If the engine isn't broken in right, it uses up oil pretty quickly. I haven't had a single problem with mine and I absolutely love it. Its a great car and a surprise to most people when you beat them off the line. Good luck and enjoy it if you get it.

My biggest issue has been the performance of the "high performance" Bose sound system... at lower volumes it's not bad, but when you crank it the sub pretty much turns off and there is a lot of distortion in the back door speakers. Besides that, there's not much more. Amazing car, beautiful design and great performance.

The problem with the Nissan/Infiniti Bose units is the built-in equalization. As you turn the volume up it adjusts the bass down in order to keep the speakers from blowing. Really screws with the sound at high volume since most tend to increase the bass levels which distorts the midbass.

The 2003/4 M45 car is fast, luxurious and totally fun to throw around and drive. It is not small, so it does have a big car feel to some degree (compared to the Galant you are driving), but much better than most V-8 equipped cars in this respect. The M is also not a 2-door sports car (like an Acura NSX or something like that) - it is a very sporty four-door sedan, that looks unique and is fast as many "high-performance sports cars". A sleeper to catch people off-guard!

As M45inATL mentions, the only thing to be concerned about is the oil consumption issue - check it if you can. The transmission re-flash is a minor thing that the dealer can do for you - the car should still be under warranty with that low a mileage. Everything else ought to be relatively minor.

If this car has the Nav package or other fancier electronics, you might want to consider getting the extended warranty from Infiniti - this may be worth it in the long run (if something expensive like the Nav package goes out).
