I like to take a crack at that.

For the true nissan enthusiast, they dont need no stinking badges.

LOL - It was kind of an "accident".

I was detailing it at 3 am the night before the Nationals. I took the badge off to polish behind it (get in all the little crevices)... The chrome was bubbling and flaking, and a big chunk cracked off.

Oh noes!

So I spent the next hour sanding it down, getting all the chrome off, and painting it. Flat black looked the best, I tried 3 different paints.

When I get the front bumper repainted I'm gonna have the emblem shaved.

We don't need no stinking badges.

Shaved?? you mean removed? and fill in the boss for it in the bumper? I am considering doing that with mine since I too chipped the chrome on the emblem taking it off for sanding.

how hard is it to clean those rims around the chrome? Is it hard to 'get in there' and scrub?

Scott - Yep.

Not hard to clean at all, they're wide open and the spoke is pretty clear of the lip.

Thx Dan.

BTW, almost killed myself chasing down a guy driving a stock black vert in town today... Just to tell him about the NICO 240sx 'vert forum, hahaha.

Guy probably thought I was nuts.

p.s. 240's are EASY to catch in a Q45.

I find it a pain in the *** to clean around the rim bolts, have to really get in there to get out all the brake dust.

Looking better and better all the time greg. Ever concider getting a low profile tauno cover made out of fiberglass or something? It would look alot better than the lumpy plastic one. Awesome project you have going there, cant wait till the next update

That's what a pressure washer is for.

Yeah, once I learn how to work with 'glass, I'll be playing with the idea. Need to find some spare parts off a vert, like the whole cutout trim piece to help make a jig.
