Post

It was a very nice, sunny day today, so I went for a bit of a drive this afternoon and took a few pics. Here are is a sampling of my activities...

In the yard after a quick wash.

Outside an abandoned cafe.

I thought this was neat.

Not such a great shot, but eh.

I think someone honked at me right before I took this one.

Sun rays are neat. Too bad champagne is such a hard color to photograph without it looking washed out.

Lighting was a bit better for this one.

Another quick butt shot.

I thought the 95 and 96 had a different piece in between the front lights. It looks the same as mine and it's a 95. Nice car by the way...

You know, I honestly don't know. :( I bought the car from a friend of mine who bought it from a dealership...I think he owned it about 6 months or so before he sold it to me. I have a payment for him on Monday when I will ask him about it.

Just out of curiosity, what prompted you to ask? Because sometimes in the right light, I've thought the paint doesn't match up as perfectly as it should and I've wondered about wreckage before as well.

The car runs and drives perfectly though. If it HAS been wrecked, it certainly doesn't seem like it.

oh well.

and the 95's and 96's have the same part between the headlights, the difference comes in between the 97- 98.

the s14"A"= 97-98 after slight change with squinty headlights (looks sweet)

s14"B"= 95=96 before change, like mine with the ovalish headlights and straighter line across the front of the hood between the lights.

The pics are hosted on a personal server and should be loading fine... I'm having no problems with them.

I dunno what else to do. :( Maybe right-click and show picture.

thats not true. most '96's have a different grill than the '95's. a '95 has "slats" or whatever, and the '96 is just a open grill w/ a outline or whatever you wanna say. the '97 and '98's have an entire differnet front end, not just grill. look at redrockets grill. thats a'96 grill that i THOUGHT was on ALL '96's. look at stickgoats, thats the grill on all '95's. i don't know why her car has that that type of grill, being a '96. strange.....

I agree

My 96 has the non slat grill and I have never seen a 96 w' a slat grill.

I figuered that was the easiest way to seperate the two.(95+96)

I stand corrected. I haad never seen the slated grill until now. I have the open one on my 96, and I'm glad.

The MAIN difference though is still 95-96 vs 97-98. The headlights and such.

Ok, so my slated grill isn't supposed to be slated? Interesting.

Maybe it actually was wrecked or something. :(

Yeah Summer like I stated before in the other thread its a 95 grill :)

I have a 96 and have all three grills at my house, the 96 in ruby pearl (came with the car) the 95 in emerald (picked it up for free) and the s14b "silvia" (gets alternated between that and the 96) one.

May I ask what the manufacturing date (found in drivers door jam on the gross vehicle weight sticker) is for your car?

Its definately a clean car though.

I've seen the title to the car and it's definitely a 1996.

:runsoutsidetochecksticker:

Has a build date of 10/95.

I suppose since it's a very early '96 model perhaps a few of them got away with the '95 bumpers?

Didnt you see where I asked her to check the door sticker. Most people dont go through the hassle of replacing it, to make a few bucks, they would just as well remove it all together.

All she has to do is check the vin number to the sticker (has vin on it) to be 100%.

^^^ applies to nismodaves pulled post asking to check the vin :( No Im not asking you to check again hehe.

Oh and Summer the bumpers arent different just the tiny grill between the lights :)

edit: nismodave nice pull hehe

I have a 96 and mine is open but it doesn't look like it was ever changed.
