Well just to clarify. There is a difference between skinny jeans and super skinny jeans. I like to buy slim fit or skinny jeans that are one size bigger than I usually wear(they end up fitting perfect)...
Also, skinny jeans are often referred to as "tapered" jeans. You could be straight and wear these.
