I just picked up a '93 240sx coupe (no sunroof) last night (traded my '94 accord for it) It has a KA24DE swap done with about 60k on engine (was done at a Jag dealer). After driving it home I have a couple questions:

1. The car shakes when stopped (it doesn't idle rough or anything though) and it shakes less when it's in Neutral than in Drive. I was told that it needs a new motor mount on the rear of the motor, could this be the cause?

2. It has the auto transmission in it and it seems that when it's cold out ( I live in CO) that when you hit the gas and the transmission kicks down it takes it a few second sfor it to accelerate faster even though the engine revs higher. The transmission shifts perfectly otherwise and doesn't slip. Also it shifts like a granny car and I read that I can unplug the transmission pressure sensor and that will make it shift more like a sports car but before I got unplugging stuff I want to make sure that is a safe procedure.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

in 93 the ka24de is the factory engine.

It had the the KA24E motor in it originally (PO showed me pics of the original motor in the vehicle and the receipts for the swap)

It might be the transmission mount (the PO gave me a new mount) havent really looked at it yet

Then it isn't a 93.The ka24e was only in 89-90.

Maybe someone wanted the SOHC and swapped it in and then the last guy swapped back a DOHC?

Let's see some pics.
