I've been lurking on this site for the past month and finally today I can call myself a proud G35 owner. I've purchased a black '06 G35 coupe and am in the process of looking at wheels and tires. Does anyone have any good recommendations for websites with pictures of G35s with different wheel styles?

One other question, I'd like to put in an LCD/DVD system for my kiddos (yes I've already loaded in the car seats hehe) but not sure the best setup for a video system in the car. If you have a video system in it how did you set it up (LCD in headrest, etc)?

Thanks!

Well congrats on the G purchase! It's a great car, and frankly I'm glad to see a "cool" mom that went with the coupe instead of the sedan! Anyway, do a search for rims and see what you come up with. I like the ones in this thread:

Now, the video system may be tricky...our headrests are "Active" meaning in an accident, they will move forward (to prevent whiplash). Your best bet is to find a good car stereo place, not best buy or circuit city, and have them do a professional install. Try hi-fi buys or a reputable installer in your area. It will not be cheap, as you may have to upgrade the head-deck. Another option available is to get a portable player for the kids with headphones...

Welcome to non-lurking at NICO!

Congratulations on the purchase.

Check out http://www.tirerack.com and in their wheel/tires section, you can enter the car name and model, and then checkout a small profile picture with the various wheels they sell for that car.

Although, do check with a sales person there when buying. You need to worry about offset's and all that very carefully, and they should be able to help!

Thanks for the links and information. I'll head on over to the regional forums to get a recommendation for a local shop to get ideas on implementing video.

Thanks also for the cool mom compliment. =P

I had a modded XBox in my G. It displayed on the Nav screen, but could easily be adapted to play on any other monitor or even both. As far as headrest monitors, I doubt it would pose a problem. The headrest stems in the seats actuate the forward movement of the headrest in a rear impact.

Since it uses the force of the occupant's body being pushed into the seat, it should still function correctly with a monitor mounted in the headrest.

GamingMom -

Welcome aboard! I'm in AZ as well, Coupe owner, and I have the PERFECT shop for your install.

Call David at Sound Xpressions (602-438-0352), tell him Greg from NICO sent you. He's a G owner as well, and has TONS of experience with our cars.

Keep in mind a flip-down screen might be a better choice, but he'll be able to show you lots of options.

What part of AZ are you in? We frequently have local mini-meets, you can have a look at lots of other modded G35's and get a feel for what wheels you like best!

Thanks for the recommendation Hitman. I'm in the East Valley (metro-Phoenix area) - the regional boards don't appear to be too busy, are the mini-meets posted up there?
