I just bought a 2000 q45t with 115k miles. It was a one owner. It runs fine and was well cared for, but I wanted to tune it up. I downloaded the service manual, but wanted to know forum's opinion on what fluids, etc to use. What parts would need to be replaced around this mileage as a precaution? Any thoughts on a specific brand and type of spark plug? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to NICO!!!

I'm in Anderson, glad to see another local....

For fluids, im not as picky with them as long as you replace them regularly. Fresh cheap fluid is better than old expensive fluid.

I like to do oil every 90 days, and everything else once per year.

Replace air and fuel filter yearly as well...

Use only NGK OEM spark plugs, available cheapest from Joe at infiniti of scottsdale.

If you need any help (locally) just let me know.

Welcome.

Previous posts have a lot of information.

Get the Infiniti dealer performed service history. How does ATF look (white paper towel test)?

Best to change all filters, fluids and sparkplugs if last service date unknown.

Thanks. How many miles and what year do you have? Has it been a good car for you?

About mid-nineties now. It has been great. Just recently did plenum, IAC & EGR valve cleaning. Replaced one bad coilpack. Run synthetics and ATF cooler since purchase at 48K.

Went to Eibach Sport springs as OEM were a little too bouncy, KYB SR Specials, OZ Ultraleggera wheels.

Keep reading and look at the sticky above.

I have a 94. 137k. The only "problems" i had was I had to replace the fuel pump (i knew about this when i bought the car), and the driveshaft (in retrospect, i wish i would have tried replacing the bearing first)...

Everything else Ive just done fluids and filters.
