Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Just traded my Lexus 2007 ES350 for a leftover 2008 EX35 journey with luxury and nav ($33000). Dealer gave me $8200 off and a good deal on my trade. I looked at many vehicles to replace the Lexus and settled on the Infinity although with less space than I would like. Really like features and performance over Lexus although I do miss the rain sensing windshield wipers.

Do you really need rain sensing? I found them very useless when i had my ES330 they can go dumb very easy and their sensing is not good enough to adjust the speed when it rains heavy. It's just my opinion.

+1, They are useless in my book. I am glad that this car does not have them. It seems that they alawys have a mind of their own. Example; I passed by some sprinklers and some over spray came on the wind sheild, I mean just a mist. Nothing big, the wipers came on and it made it worst. The dirt turned into mud. I couldnt see at all. My point, they suck.....

Well - I kind of liked the rain sensing wipers although I had one bad incident in a car wash when I forgot to turn them off. The brushes can get caught in the wiper. Some initial comparisons over Lexus:1. Fit and finish seem about equal2. Nav works better on Infinity3. Voice activated dialing is improved4. Memory seats work better on exit5. Engine is a dramatic improvement both in quietness and power6. Handling and braking big improvement7. Gas mileage is a bit less - maybe 1-2 mpg8. Ride and quietness is about the same9. Hated Lexus 7 speed auto - too much gear hunting

I wish the EX has a power hatch, a little more space and pockets and a rear wiper at the top of the hatch. Don't miss articulating headlights, seat cooling and seat extender.

Does anyone know how to replace the cabin air filter?

Sounds good. Sounds like you picked a great car. I sure did. Infiniti hands down, but the sales rep and service people are awful. That is another story.

I think the cabin filter is located behind the glove box unit. Most other cars are there and my Honda CRV is also there.
