New owner question

Hey all,

Bought my wife an 06 M35 Sport with Nav and all the neat stuff including DVD..

I would like to know how/where to buy a screen for either the roof or seat backs that integrates with the DVD player in the console which is already installed??

A screen and an additional DVD player were part of the Premium package that was probably not an option on the M35 Sport. I suggest going to a seat mounted system (separate DVD player and screen) as being the best way to solve your need.

Slightly incorrect. Ceiling mounted DVD screen is separate option. With a sport, you have to have the Advanced Tech package in order to get DVD screen as an option, which I have on my 06 Sport. I agree though that I would highly recommend either headrest mounted screens or screen down low at rear of middle console for 3 reasons.

1) The stock position of the ceiling screen is little too far back for anyone under 4.5 feet tall to really get a good angle to see w/o feeling like your neck is going to break. Yes you can tilt it some but still weird angle.

2) Having multiple screens with A/V inputs would allow for a scenario like my 12 year to play PlayStation on one while my 6 year could watch a movie on the other .

3)The location in ceiling will block about 80% your visibility out of the rear view mirror when the screen is down.

So we have the DVD played in the middle console, and in the back there are some RCA connectors near the AC vents - are these input or output?

I would like to buy the Headrest style screens for the car.Just wondering where stock DVD player outputs are to hookup the new aftermarket screens?

I think I heard someone say the outputs are are on the underside of the DVD player. But any decent install shop should be able to hook you up.

Those RCA jacks you see by the air vents are inputs only. Thats how my son hooks his playstation in.
