I know that they messed up two of the lines for mine in the manual. So, you might have it just like it shows, but it not be right. Know anyone with one that runs in your neck of the woods? A side by side comparison might help.

You might want to clean your throttle linkage. If its sticky it might not be allowing the butterfly to close all the way. Without starting it, pop the air cleaner off and look at it. It should be closed. If it isn't, clean the linkage and depress the accelerator all the way to the floor. That should close it.

Well I can't figure out why it is still dieseling. I normally found that it is always fouled plug but they look good. I am assuming that it is the stock carb. When I look at the butterfly it does not close all the way sometimes so that is the only thing I can think of. It seams that there is not tension on it to close. Is that vacuum controled? There is a vacuum line right there or it looks like one. But When I trace the arm down pass the anti-deiseling solenoid it looks like there is some type of spring. If there is that may be my problem because it is not tight enough to keep the butterfly closed all the time. The dieseling seems to happen more when I cut it off on an incline.

On another note the vacuum line swap seems to have fixed my power loss/cut out during braking. And I have figured out the inner terminals of my tail light are causing the elec. issues with my lights.(totally corroded) Anyone know where I should look for a cheap or used one. No junk yards have them around here.
I really want to fix the running issue first because no point in having lights if it doesn't drive. Then I still need to get it to shift into 3rd.

Thanks

Turtle, did you depress the accelerator all the way to the floor with the engine off? Did that close the butterfly? If so, did you clean/lub the linkage?
