So this morning I went to the Infiniti dealership for my new owner orientation. It was me and about a dozen other folks that bought their cars in the last few weeks. It was kind of a waste of time. They talked mostly about the warranty and showed us the service bays and parts area. We did get a nice stainless coffee mug for a free gift along with some coffee and donuts, but overall it not what I was expecting. I figured they might show us some little known features or tricks, or at very least share some maintenance tips. Oh well, I got some free refreshments and a neat little gift for my trouble.

Anyone have a different or more informative orientation?

The salesman spent an hour with my wife and me going over our car and answering questions.

Same here b ut I told the salesman not to bother. I was checking the car around to make sure everythin is ok and I told him I'll give them a call if I need help.

Not called him yet after my second G. LOL I think I should be ok by now.

^^^ Moonlight White looks great tho!!!

When we bought our 2005 G sedan new, we purchased it thru our local Nissan dealer from their Infiniti dealer (Modern network) 1.5 hours away, so we didn't get any orientation only a great deal that was over $1K better than the local deal we were working on. I usually know more about the car by the time I pull the trigger than the saleman knows anyway(probably the same for the rest of you) & I like reading the owners manual.

Mine was 1 on 1 with the salesman. Before I picked the car up, he asked me to email him the list of radio stations that I liked and he had them all preprogrammed for me when I picked the car up. Then he sat in the car with me and walked through the nav and phone. Helped me pair my bluetooth phone to the car and went over a few other features. I cut him off after about 15 mins since a lot of it was pretty basic. It was nice to have the radio preprogrammed.

I had a 30 minute session one on one in my car with the techy fella. Since I'm so low-tech it was welcome. Some of it was basic and stuff I already knew, but I let him do his job and learned what I needed to know. I had to call him back a time or two, especially since my voice recognition had so much trouble understanding my southern accent.

All in all, my buying experience at Infiniti of Memphis was first class all the way.

We bought our cars from the same salesman. Real nice guy and he gave me a long tour and how things worked when we bought the cars. Omg, but I wanted to get out of there asap b/c he has some major bad breath. I almost want to tell him that maybe he should get his teeth checked out.

Thanks, but it's a G35. And my original choice was the white. All sold out in my area...
