new owner of M37 2012 some issues

Hello, I am new owner of this car and have a few issues.

1. i hear noise form the dash board, like rain drops can anyone identify what this might be or how to fix this
2. MY ABS is making noise when I brake but no light is on. I read if i tap the ABS pump it will go away but i dont know where do find this under the hood or even take out the fuse for it.
3. After the car warms up i hear a whining noise when i accelerate - it's not there when i start the car only comes after the car has warmed up and at every stop and go.

Anyone know of a Inifniti mechanic in durham region in ON. All fo this came after the warranty with the dealer expired.

1. Check your coolant level. Air in the system can sometimes cause these sounds to come from the heater core.

2. Just to be sure its working does the ABS light come on momentarily when you start the car? What kind of noise is it? An ABS pump engaging is pretty loud. Also, for my own curiosity where did you hear about tapping the ABS pump to stop the noise?

3. Does it make the same sound with the transmission in Neutral and revving the engine?

re: ABS - i read in a form about the tapping. The noise is squeaking noise when braking but it's not the pads. I can also hear it humming in the background very lightly. Took it my mechanic and he also said it was the ABS but nothing to worry. I just hate the noise. It's a new car for me and want this noise gone.

I did not check when in neutral.

Welcome to the forum.

Not sure I can help on the noise, but did it stop when you held the top piece of the dash? At least that helps you narrow down the area...you might need to take that apart.

As for the humming...does the humming get louder when you turn your wheels?

Regarding whining noise...definitely check if it happens in neutral once the engine is warm, etc.

is the winning noise there at idol? how many miles on the car. I have a 2011 M37 I don't hear any whining did this just start? I know there is a recall for the M56 for the timing chain but it doesn't apply to the M37 {quote]

I had a whining noise after it was warmed up myself. My mechanic also noticed that the steering rack was leaking. I got the local dealership to agree that this was a problem that needed to be replaced under warranty. I never mentioned the sound. When I got the car back the whining sound was gone. I have pic's somewhere if you want to see them.

I had the same issue with the "rain tapping" noise. There is debris between the cowl and the window. You can take the plastic trim off after you remove the wipers. Once you get the cowl off clean the area that was covered by it.

My 2007 M35 had a leaking rack as well, I should have mine checked while I'm still under warranty those things are $$$$ how many miles on your M

i have 70000KM - the noise is not there in neutral just when going from a stop. The ABS noise doesn't get louder - just comes on when i am breaking. I read about this - "There is debris between the cowl and the window.". Can someone show me how I can do this? Appreciate all the feedback. Great to have a site like this.
