The dealer gave me a great price on my trade-in.

Just took delivery today:

I figure, if the world doesn't end in 2012, I can always get a Kia or Hyundai when my lease is up.

In the meantime, I'm gonna have some fun! I'll post more photos as I take them.

Sorry about the grainy quality. I took this pic from like 15 feet away from inside the house!

I'll take more pics eventually, but I'm waiting to get my protective film put on the paint and windows

I really can't get enough of the car. I am a very passive and conservative driver, but I love taking fast corners, passing through twisties and being able to pass and brake with ease and confidence. This car blew pass every other car I've test driven in many ways (and I've test driven A LOT of cars)...Every time I get in the car, it's been an awesome experience, which is kinda weird considering I've only had it for 48 hours!!

It's gonna take me at least a month to get all my music recorded, all my addresses saved onto the system, and all of my phone numbers. I'm loving the technology. It has everything I need.

The car is so quick, sharp, and good-looking (The dark red/burgundy color of the G37 is so sharp and unique with the red seats are very striking) I still feel almost overwhelmed by it.

My car is probably one of the nicest cars on the lot at work by far...Even though I've had it for just 2-3 days, I haven't been bringing much attention to it family or friends, although most of them knew that I'd been car shopping for a long time..

I bought my LE 400 miles from home, so I had a lot of "getting to know you" time with it on the way back :) The woman in the nav system seemed...perturbed....that I took a particular route home (that wasnt what she wanted) because of all the curves in the highway. It had started to snow lightly as well so I was whipping the car thru some pretty hairy turns with damp roads. Man, this car is fun AND safe at the same time.

Everytime I see someone say the S sedan doesnt handle well enough because its not the same suspension as the coupe, etc I have to wonder just how much better the coupe is. This is by far the best handling car Ive ever driven, including my old Neon RT that handled almost like it was on rails. The power of it is especially nice, you know its there but you dont always use it. Right now my biggest complaint is that its winter, so the roads are a mess (my poor dirty car!!) and its hard to see around corners so you cant risk "spirited" driving otherwise you might hit someone peeking out an intersection. Cant wait for nicer weather so I can get her nice and shiny again and fling it thru some curves.

Congrats and so awesome that you got a manual! Mine is coming towards her 1st birthday and I'm as in love as ever.

She is even half decent in the snow (RWD, can you imagine)!

I haven't even touched the navigation system yet. I'll probably fool around with it on the weekend.

A coupe was out of the question for me. I know I don't always have rear passengers in the car, but I really do appreciate the extra space, practicality, and weight of a sedan. I've test driven dozens of cars and I can't think of any other car that had the same performance feel to it. I think the 535i with sport package comes pretty close.

It's times like these that I'm happy to be living in Arizona.. :chuckle: I'll just have to be careful during the monsoon season..

I was dead set on the coupe, because I was tired of the old 4 door-ness of my previous car (2001 i30), but once I saw the coupe, and knowing I have kids there was no way I could easily buy the coupe. Yes I could struggle to get them in and out of the car everytime I needed to....or I could just suck it up and get another 4 door.

Then I sat and thought about what 4 door models I would even consider, and the G was the only real option in my eyes. Sportiness, good looks, etc. BMW and Mercedes are out of my $$$ league, not impressed with the IS and its option scheme, etc.
