Not here as far as "sluggish" is concerned. I actually find the Rogue to be quite zippy. If I really need to accelerate I'll use the paddles but I have a 2008 and I don't think they're offered on the 2012.

As for wind -- it's a CUV with a large side profile (compared to a Civic or my S2000) and that's the nature of the beast.

No. Traction control doesn't factor in until slip is detected.

Hi there and welcome to the Nico Club Nissan Rogue forum.

Feelings of "sluggishness" can be very subjective and vary from one person to the next, but I agree that my Rogue feels very responsive and accelerates nicely. At highway speeds, if you press down on the accelerator to pass for example, the CVT should immediately select a lower gear, the rpms should jump up to 3 to 4000 or more depending on how hard you press on the accelerator, and the vehicle should surge ahead and accelerate briskly. If your Rogue does not behave like this, I would recommend taking it to your service deparment for diagnosis and repair if necessary.

Regarding stability in winds, if the winds are strong enough you will definatley feel the sensation of being pushed around, you just have to proceed cautiously when it's very windy as is the case with vehicles in this class with taller profiles.

There really is no comparison, the 7th gen Civic nearly 1000lbs lighter and much lower to the ground than the Rogue! The handling, acceleration, and overall driving feel are completely different.

It's not necessarily a bad thing, but something you will definitely have to get used too!

Yeah you cannot compare the two, I currently drive my brothers 05 civic and my new 2011 nissan rogue, don't expect it to be the same one bit.

If yours has a sport mode switch, I have found that having it in sport mode gives you a bit more of a power feeling when on the highway
