I bought a 93 j30t blk with blk leather belive it or not no rips car runs pretty good i bought from original owner which he says was his first big ocomplichment he lost remote for keyless entry and his son took bose original radio out and cut wires behind the radio which was a mess but i got the radio working andwas wondering if anyone knew if i could get a new remote without having to go to infiniti? Also ive read post about tension rods and the bushings is there another name for those everywhere i look knows nothing about them the cars timing belt was changed thur nissan at 107,000 i have about 174,000 now wen should i change it again i see u guys kno everything to kno so thats y im asking thanks for your help

Nissan dealer will sell you and program the remote cheaper then an Infiniti dealer if your okay with a Nissan logo remote.

Do you know if it was changed with a normal belt or the Nissan OEM Kevlar belt?

The normal belt needs to be changed every 60000 miles. The Nissan OEM Kevlar belt is good for something like 100000-120000 miles. Keep in mind the VG30DE engine in the J is a interference engine. If the belt goes, the engine is destroyed.

THANKS driver. Im not sure if it was the kelvar one i will try to find that out also do you know if the remotes on ebay r any good? And is there any other name for tension rod i belive thats going on my j

I knOw thats what i said about the seats and everyone that sees it says the same how clean it was kept ima big nissan/infiniti lover ive had 4 maximas this is my first j and i love it
