Hi everyone. I bought a 2008 Certified Pre-owned Altima 2.5 SL w/Tech Package yesterday. Only had 11k miles on it. So far, so good, except I realized after signing everything that the car only had one keyfob, and I also noticed that the leather was peeling off the rear passenger side door panel, near where the glass rolls down into the door frame. See here: http://farm3.static.flickr.com...b.jpg

Anybody know if something like that will be covered by warranty?

Any tips on how to get an extra keyfob? I don't have that metal plate everyone seems to be talking about, but my current keyfob does have the metal key in it.

Not to give you a hard time, but shouldn't you have asked those questions before you signed on the dotted line and drove away from the dealership?

Since you say the the car is a Certified Pre-Owned, one could make the assumption that you bought the car at a Nissan dealer. Is this correct?

I would suggest that you ask the dealer that you purchased the car from if something like that will be covered by warranty. The dealer's opinion trumps board member's opinions.

Here are tips on how to get an extra key fob. The dealer you bought it from should be able to help you, ask them. If they can't, try this:

LOL. wow, that was neat. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=smart+a**

Of course I forgot to ask about the keyfobs until I had signed everything, and the salesman was happy to forget to mention it to me, too. It almost seemed like he was so happy to be able to tell me to f*ck off when I asked him where the other key was. I love car salesmen.

I shall try asking a dealer, but so far, they're quoting me $90 for the key itself, and $120 to program it. I guess for the deal I got the car for, it's not too bad to pay this much for it...

look on ebay for the keyfob. New keyfob is like 30 I paid for mine. Brand New never used. Just go to the dealer and have your new key programed.
