Whats up guys, Ive been a fan of the Z32 since i was a little kid and have always wanted one growing up. About two weeks ago i came across a 1990 White Z32 TT (stick) with 78,000 miles on it. It belonged to older gentleman in Northern Cali. Him and his son purchased the car with the intent of working on it together but due to some unfortunate circumstances his son is no longer with us. The car was just too beautiful to pass up so i bought it right on the spot. The car has sat for the about three years and was only taken out occasionally. The car has a JWt pop charger, Megan Catback exhaust, 650cc Injectors, After market ECU, and a greedy Boost Controller. The car is in really great shape and pulls hard. Only problem is that there is white smoke coming from the exhaust.Happens randomly, sometimes start up, sometimes at the lights and sometimes not at all - all mainly during idle there is no decrease in coolant or oil level so its not burning any fluids Smoke is not blue. Its not water cause it smells bad. Some days it doesn't even happen at all. Very confused. Ive been hearing a million possible things it can be, some say that it can be my head gasket or Turbo seals? or Possibly bad PCV hoses? really don't know at this point. Any opinions?

id say double check with a head gasket tester, and have a coolant pressure test done, cause white puffy smoke usually means headgasket, or valve seals, if it smells very pungent of sulfer or phoserferus it would be a dieing cat and or oil leaks, id also take her in for tuning to make sure your not running excessivly rich as well

Hey thanks for the quick reply! I went and had the car checked out yesterday at a local shop that Specializes in Z platformed cars. They said that my head gasket is perfectly fine and that seals are not the problem either. They pulled out one of the Spark plugs and found that was very dry and did not smell like how it was supposed to smell. That the car is running really lean and that there isn't enough fuel being dumped into the system. They suggested that i may have a bad ECU and to purchase one of Concept Z to match the configurations of the car.

Check your injectors, make sure they ohm correctly before resorting to the ECU. If it is aftermarket it should match the upgrades. You can also pull the passenger side floor, by the feet, remove the wood panel and it should say what the ECU is modded for.

How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? Planning on buying one soon and i'm trying to see how much i'm looking at spending for one with similar mileage.
