Hi, I just bought my very first 300ZX after searching for one in good condition for a few years. (here in mexico they are hard to find in good shape)

Its a 1993 300ZX 2+2 NA A/T T'top . Mostly Stock (it has a K/N air filter) and a K/N fuel filter
First, im not really that good of a mechanic, but I have all the intention to learn and so I have spend the last month reading and understanding most of the inner working of this car but I still have a couple of questions here.

1.- I have a rotor brake broken (front left), with a 10cm crack on it, so along with new tires this will be the first change im gonna do.
Can I change just that one rotor? or do I need to change both front? or all 4?

2.- Where do I refill the AT fluid? (laugh here if you want to :tisk: ) I know where to check for the fluid level, but is it the same as oil and I have a separate refill place or do I refill directly into the long pipe?

3.-The car has 80K on it, and I cant find any proof from the previous owner that the 60K timming belt service was done. The previous owner sold it to a used car dealership and they sold it to me, but I dont have direct contact with the previous owner. Its very probable that the timming belt was done, but I cant be 100% sure. is there any way to know if this service was done?

4.- Any good shop that I cant take my 300Zx in the south texas area? I found austinZclinic online and a couple at houston.

5.-I have a problem with Idling, sometimes the engine stalls if I press the throttle a little. this doesnt happen always so im gonna try to adjust the TPS and the Base Idle Screw at the AAC, but whats the Idle speed that I want to set on the AAC screw with a NA AT? I saw 650rpm in the wiki, But I guess thats for Manual transmission

Thanks!!!

1. I would replace both
2.AT fluid is added through the same tube with the AT dipstick is located.
3.I would do a 120k service, I never do the 60k , I want to replace everything every time.
4.Got no idea
5.Run the ECU diagnostics for a clue on the idle problem. Google "Premier Z 300zx hesitation"

I have another Question, this about the Vacum Lines.
acording to this diagram Image

The (pasassanger side) only has 1 line comming out of it. but I have 2 hoses coming out. 1 Big and 1 smaller. My undestanding is that the Big one its the PCV line. and the smaller one its the vacum line.

In my car, the vacum lines are very similar except for the upper green part, coudnt find the AIV selenoid nor any AIV lines. from the intake it goes to the metal "T" but its not a T, its only a metal connector and the other side goes down to the selenoid.

So, where is my AIV? was it removed?

also all passanger side vacum lines are branded as "goodyear fuel emission sae" so i know this are not OEM and they are just very simply pluged to all the connectors, i can remove the lines vary easily with my hand. Is this normal? o do I need to use some kind of zip tie?

This line its of the driver side and its a little cracked, any brand or place to buy a whole new set of this? (tried motorsportZ but they only have for the PCV lines.

Houston Z is probably your best bet in proximity to the border.
