New owner...iPod Confusion

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hey Guys,

This my first post....

I just purchased a 2008 Ex35 Journey AWD w Premium Package. I'm in Toronto, and picked it up just of the city from a reputable dealer.

I was hoping someone could shed some light on the iPod integration. The car has the Bose upgrade system, however does not have nav. I noticed in the armrest that there is an multi pin plug next to the aux in. The dealer mentioned that it was a harness input, but didn't know if it works with an iPod.

Can someone please shed some light on what it is, and what I'd need to get to make it work with my Ipod? Also, will this give me full on screen control over the iPod?

Thanks advance, and sorry for the newbie question. I couldn't find a clear answer on the forums.

You will need the ipod interface cable assuming you have a square plug next to the accessory power plug in the console arm rest:

You can control the ipod from the steering wheel or Infiniti Controller.
