New owner - Hard drive question

I love this car. It's the perfect blend of technology, design and muscle all in one.

However, i think the record feature is kind of dated....that and I have no CD's. All my songs are mp3 based and yes, I do have the ipod adapter.

I have a habit of wanting to use any and all options available to me lol So I would like to know if there was a way to directly copy mp3's to the hard drive and not through the CD recording process.

(why do I want this? For arguments sake, lets say I forgot my ipod, I would have a backup in my cars HD )

Hey there and Welcome to NICO! Congrats on the New G, I am assuming its an 07+ with tech?

I would say look into getting a flash card and putting your music on that, they are relatively inexpensive and work very well just don't get the cheapest one. . Once you have the music on your card you should be able to move it from there to the HDD or just leave the card in the slot.

I know some of the owners here can chime in with their own personal experiences and recommendations. From my experience with using the flash card be very careful when installing them I had an unlucky gentleman recently force his in and bend one of the pins on this inside and shorted out the audio cpu.
