Hey everyone, new to this forum and new to the world of Infiniti, love my car but have had some problems from the start.

I bought the 2009 G37x sedan, three weeks ago. The dealership had to hunt down the color/style I wanted and drive it up from Pennsylvania, not a big deal. When I picked it up, I drove to my brothers house to show off, realized both Xenons weren't working. Returned to dealership next day both fuses were shot, replaced and currently no problem.

Days later, down to quarter tank of gas, car idles at 1.5 rpm, started to go below and shake. Upon accelerating, cars rpm's would shoot up, car would not follow but, buck, back and forth instead. Returned to dealership, ran through diagnostics, road test to replicate, and ran past Infiniti's corporate repair desks to see if anyone else had similar situation. Negative on all fronts and problem has yet to appear again, I personally believe it was different gasoline from original pick up in Pennsy and when they got back, topping it off.

Either way, car runs fine now and the dealership gave me 3yrs of oil changes and tire rotations for the trouble.

Obviously, I am watching and freaking out over the slightest things now, and I noticed something new today. It's been raining here for the last four days. Took the car out yesterday and when I returned, heard the engine sizzling, like rain was hitting it. Today, when I got to work, steam was coming from the grill. It's still raining and I was going fast down the parkway, this happened for 3-5 minutes. It's steam, for sure, got down there and smelled it.

Long story, shut the "F" up, has anyone had this experience? Like I said, concerned over the slightest gear shift, I need help !!

Thanks, everyone, for your consideration !!

Welcome to NICO!

First, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. Luckily, Infiniti has great dealers and you should be able to get the issue resolved.

Since it's new, I think it's common for the radiator to sizzle the rain...it should go away.

Anyone else have similar issues with a new G37 sedan? It could be bad gas...make sure to use a reputable station and fill with whatever the owners manual recommends.

Sorry to hear about the issues, but I've had four G's and never ANY problems. The steam is normal, I found out after I brought mine to the dealer when it was snowing. It steamed for 10 minutes. Just the way the grille is angled I guess.
