New Owner, few doubts plz help

I recently bought a 2011 Rogue SV with SL. I have few questions can someone please clarify?

1. When I lock/unlock doors using the remote, there are no sounds or beeps to tell the doors unlocked/locked. Is that normal?

2. There are few issues I noticed, first the XM does not play sometimes. I cannot get it working unless I turnoff the car and start it again. The second issue is that the passenger seat belt clip constantly hitting the body and causing unwanted sounds. Is anyone else experiencing these issues?

csgrad2006: I cannot speak for the 2011 model, but on my 2010 SL AWD when I unlock the doors there is no sound.

On the other hand, when I lock the doors the lights flash and the horn beeps once.

I think I saw something in the manual about turning on/off the beeping when you lock the car. Maybe yours is disabled? I had the seatbelt knocking against the door, but a few adjustments, rearranging stopped it. I'd have the xm looked at, unless it says "no signal" it shouldn't be cutting out.

Try to hold lock/unlock buttons for a few seconds like 3-4 until turn signals flash this way you should enable it. If you want to disable that function later just hold those 2 buttons again for 3-4 seconds until lights flash. Works on my 08 and should work on all others as well.

To answer your questions:

This feature can be turned on/off as Leo2005 suggested. You can find instructions on how to do this in your owners manual starting on pg 3-8.

I strongly recommend reading over the owners manual when you get a chance. There are many features of your new Rogue that the manual will explain in detail.

I would let the dealer look at this. You shouldn't have to do this. It could be a loose connector or issue with the XM module.

Can't say I've ever had an issue with mine. Make sure the seat belt is properly retracted.

Also, your new car warranty includes an adjustment period for things like this. I would take it into the dealer and have it looked at.

Thank you. I got the beeps/horn working. I should have read the manual first :-)

one more thing I have observed is that the passenger air bag off light on sometimes even when there is a passenger in the car. This is a serious safety concern and I am taking it to the dealer.

I used to have this issue in my Infiniti G35 and took it to the dealer to get it fixed. Looks like the Nissan vehicles also having this issue.
