I bought a 2009 Nisan Versa 1.6 base manual, about a month and a half ago. enjoying it a lot, slowly modding it Would like to know how to attach pictures to show the mods xDRight now what I have is a 7"tft touch screen radio/cd/dvd player with a media link in the storage compratment. I have a new Predator style shift knob, Predator style pedals, and a new racing shift boot. Also this week adding new NismO emblems to dash and rear of car.

Congratulations! How is the 1.6 for you so far? You’re one step ahead of me in that you’ve bought your car I’m currently looking for a reasonable deal. I’m hoping to get a manual and still considering the 1.6 but sort of leaning towards the 1.8. I’ve read the 1.8 uses better materials in its constructions in addition to the bigger engine? I don’t know if that’s true or not but I was hoping the 1.6 would be the 1.8 without the larger engine. What type of media setup did you get and where did you get it. I wouldn’t mind getting an in dash cd/mp3/gps device when and if I ever get mine.

I use photobucket (I’m sure there are many others out there) to upload pictures to message boards. Head over to http://www.photobucket.com and make a free account, upload some pictures and when you hover your mouse over your uploaded image it’ll give you the image code to insert. Just copy and paste into your post.

Hey thanks a lot, yeah the 1.6 to me seems exactly like the 1.8 with a smaller engine, except they use a black plastic for the side mirrors instead of the body color but since I got my car in black theres no difference heh. I got a Jensen 7" touch screen dvd/cd/radio player, with a media link above it, pretty easy install and it works great with amazing sound quality Here are some photos :D

Nice mods man... Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the forum. Is there any more modifications coming and what exactly? I don't know much about setting up music so I have to ask what do you use the the media link for?

Hey thanks a lot The media link is basically for hooking up phones, iPods, and even game systems so you can play them over the touch screen :DAnd yeah definitely more mods coming Right now I want to get a strut bar and AEM cold air intake, but I really want to get this Seibon carbon fibor hood so bad, I saw it on another versa and it just looks amazing :D It might be the next thing very soon

That bonnet.. hood lol looks great! Is it just me or does it not look just a wee tiny bit like those PT Cruisers the shape of it? I've always thought that when I've seen the Versa's.

Why didn't you just get a deck that you are able to pair the phone connection bluetooth and plays ipod and all that other stuff? Wouldn't it be the same as getting the media link and even easier since it's all integrated in the unit?

Not in the 1.6 base. Its a $1000 option for a/c and cabin filter.

Heh yeah its perfectly fine with no a/c in st. louis To be honest Ive never turned on the a/c in a car Idunno, I was born in Bosnia so I guess I'm used to way more extreme weather heh :PAnd as far as getting one that is integrated, the medialink came with the player so its not as if I bought it separately heh, its just neater this way tucked away in the storage compartment for me

The hood I should be getting this month I believe, next is the NismO strut bar and AEM cold air intake

I couldn't live without my A/C either. A/C is a must here during the summer. Especially since I wear business attire to work.

Roll the window down ;P 50mph wind keeps you pretty cool even in a suit heh Although I guess it wouldnt work in places like Vegas, havent been there in a while.

Lol, ya the windows would be fine on the highway, but still drive through the city to get there. Stop and go is not pleasant, plus the hair would be a mess! haha!

Still need my A/C. Don't mind driving home without it on; but going to work it's always on (during the summer that is).

Plus, a friend of mine, her dad drove to work with his window rolled down every day as he did not have A/C. He is now deaf in his left ear from that.

Wow heh thats why I keep the passenger side down a bit, I might be getting A/C put in but not too sure, considering its already chilly in St. Louis and I just bought it theres no need for that till next summer heh.

Do they even make a AEM cold air intake for the 1.6?

Whoops sorry about that, not an AEM cold air intake x] Similar but it's a custom intake my brother is making I'm not big on doing the piping so I'm leaving that up to him heh. This here is the most amazing Versa I have seen :D http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2593855/7

Page 7 or 8 also shows how the carbon fiber Seibon hood will look on my car
