Don't think so. The car is pretty much bone stock other than HIDs and after market head unit.

My guess would be aftermarket alarm system led and valet switch.

I would bet its just an LED wired to a toggle switch to scare away would be thieves.

I see a stripped and sad LADA NIVA in the background and now I must know the story behind it. Been my dream to own one since I was a wee lad growing up in Russia during the perestroika.

Haha, I was wondering if anyone would notice the Niva.

I am restoring another Niva and this green one is the parts car. Got the other Niva in Reno like 12 years ago and this parts Niva in Canada about 8 years ago.

This sound plausible, thanks. Did not get any remotes with the car but that does not mean custom alarms system is not in there somewhere. And the car door lock is mangled too, so at some point thieves did try to get in.
