I bought this 92 limited edition se vert with 54127 original miles car because of all af your feelings about your car and I want to say thanks ....I have seen alot of great pics and I will be posting mine soon because I go to spokane wa to actually pick it up and do my maiden voyage home and I am so excited to do this trip I can't wait 20 hrs and counting... my questions are my research from the conversion company was they made 20000 of these but they did not tell you what years or each year or how many were limited editions? Was there only one engine option for this year? I want to keep this original but do some mod's only to help the motor breath or get better gas milage any suggestions on what to do and not to do ;eg; headers and brands names . My 240 has a boot cover and I like it but it does not really fold up I know that my boot is a formed style and I see push buttom types in photos but I am not adding push buttons but want something that folds away easier ? what can I use one my vert to protect the vert top ...dont say armerall ... thanks again Vickie ..............19 hrs and 37 minutes and counting to blast off.....

Congrats on your purchase. That's pretty low mileage for a vert. Mine has 193K miles on it.

If you look at the sticky in this forum, there is a list of exactly how many made total. I believe that they made about 2300 in 1992. Between the three years, they made a total of 8320 convertibles.

From Nissan, the KA24DE was the only motor offered for the convertible. That also only came with an automatic transmission. You will find many people on here who have done everything from a simple manual transmission swap (me), and up such as SR20DET, RB20DET (Eikon), and RB25DET.

There are lots of aftermarket modifications available for the 240SX. BRM does a great exhaust for the 240SX. AEM does intake, and I believe headers as well. A lot of the aftermarket parts like that are going to be owner preference, because of the variety that is out there.

Please take a minute to fill out the information in the Convertible Registry.

Anyway, again, Welcome to NICO.
