Hi all, anyway, I recently purchased a 1995 Q45 for a winter beater, and I had a few questions....

maybe someone could answer...

I have a "NICO" ecu with a reman' sticker and 'stage II - closed, stageIII - open' ,
complete with a glovebox mounted switch run out the diagnostic hole in the ecu case.

My Q has the 'shudders'..... occasionally

with the NICO ecu I get code 46 - secondary throttle sensor... could this be the result of using a Traction control ECU on a non traction control Q45?

with the original oem ECU (the kind previous owner had both) I get;
code 12 - MAFS
code 34 - knock sensor

^obviously knock sensors and harness... rather cheap endenvour, to be done soon.
the MAFS I cleaned out thoroughly and the box/snorkle/new filter..
plugs were changed, and coilpacks visually inspected for heat stress, (I also have an SR)..
oil change w/1L flush plug open
fuel filter replaced
but code 46...?

I find it odd that there is no overlap in codes between ECU's....

I'll see if I can post up a pic... another day from another computer.

Totally unrelated, but anyone notice this floating around the interweb..?

Welcome to Nico!

I think nico member elwesso might be able to help you with that one. Hopefully, he'll chime in soon.

"My Q has the 'shudders'..... occasionally" - At what speed does it happen?

Regarding the website, I've seen the site before, but not that car. Lots of cool stuff there.

.
enigne speeds;
sometimes nearing WOT - leads me to believe MAFS
sometimes off throttle/on throttle coasting near idle engine speed - leads me to believe TPS..?

highway or city driving... moreso when there is 'unusual throttle activity' - IE not driving like an old man....
