New owner 93 J30

Hi everyone, my names is Terry from Toronto, I have been reading this forum about a week now when I bought a J30 and it is nice to be a part of this great group who love their cars.

I would like to know if my car comes with a block heater installed?, also I bought it without a car phone but would like to know if I can hook up my cell phone to the car.

I have read about the hard shifting from 1st to 2nd gear, and mine does the same thing when cold, but subsides when the transmission is warm, I think they are all like that.ThanksTerry

Welcome to NICO. I am originally from Winnipeg so there are getting to be a decent number of Canucks here.

The stiff shift when cold seems to be normal J30 behavior.

If your car came equipped with daytime running lights, you probably have the Canadian package which should include a block heater but call a dealer to find out definitively.
