Simple qs before you look into possible bigger issues. Have you checked the tires? When my tires are close to needing replacement, it slips much more easily. You say it is your first V8, and even as a heavy car, it can move. Possible pedal heavy foot need a little adjustment.diminiki wrote:Hello guys! New forum member here!
Bought my beautiful 2010 Infiniti M45X 115K miles about a month ago. Bought it from a reputable dealer who claimed that they performed their 100+ point inspection and there were no warning lights on the dash.
This is my first V8 and I was so excited. Unfortunately I am having two issues after only couple of weeks of driving and started to have some doubts if I made the right choice buying this car.
1. AWD light comes and stays on randomly - mostly when accelerating from a stop or when turning. The Torque app and my BT OBD scanner did not read any fault codes.
I think I have a bad wheel hub bearing and will be replacing the front wheel hubs in the next couple of days. Not sure if a bad wheel hub would be the cause.
Would the coolant reappear and the level rise when the car was turned back on or did the car just continuously eat the coolant?Gello_M35S wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2017 6:15 pm... At first, a rather large amount of coolant within the reservoir was disappearing each time the engine on my M35 was shut off. No leaks from what i could see....
Well, b/c the upper radiator hose was leaking it...the amount I'd have to refill was quite a lot. Depending on how far I drove/how much the car warmed up. If I did a 30 minute drive, i'd have to refill at least a quarter of the reservoir up. Radiator always stayed full. I figured out that between the faulty radiator cap and hose was why so much was vanishing (combination of evaporation/leaking hose). I replaced the cap last week along with the hose/clamps. I'm still keeping an eye on it. Car never runs hot. Temp gauge always stays a notch below the halfway mark which is what the manual says is normal temp. The car is still losing coolant but I'm going to give it a week or so before I make any decisions about what to do next. Probably gonna rent a pressure tester to double check the new radiator cap today, take the reservoir out and inspect it for tiny cracks, and just continue to keep an eye on the coolant level. If I continue to lose coolant through the week then I'm letting a shop find the issue.EdBwoy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 22, 2017 10:47 pmHello and welcome to the forum.

Also, how long of a period are we talking here, a year, few months?
And if you're adding coolant into the system, how much do you estimate you're adding?
