I recently picked up a ne woil pump/font cover, and with it are four seals (example) that I haven't a clue what they are for. I assume one is for the strainer, but other then that I'm lost. Any ideas?

The small oring is for the pickup tube. Depending on what year KA the tube will either have an oring or a gasket. My s13 had an oring, but I switched to one without the groove and used a gasket instead. The small one that looks like a tophat goes between the cover and block, make sure you don't forget it or you will have low oil pressure and have a hell of a time figuring out why. As for the other two, I have no idea...didn't use anything that looked like those when I did my rebuild.

Appreciate the reply. My father actually started rebuilding the motor without me and he said he used one between the cover and block. He said he didn't use one on the pickup tube, so I hope that doesn't lead to problems down the road. Oil pressure "seems" fine, the light goes out on the dash, but I haven't verified pressure manually. The other ones might be for different applications.
