Im using crane cams cam and lifter break in fluid and although this shyet is gooey and thick, I still cant fathom 80psi at 2500rpm.

Would small or restrictive oil lines to a cooler/thermostat allow for oil pressure to build like that?

Mine is pretty high as well...........stock gauge only has a few numbers, the middle being 45psi, and the right side being 90psi......at cruising speeds, it's close to 90.......probably 70-85, I guess, and at idle it's closer to the middle 45 mark. I have a front mount oil cooler, and use 10w30 syn. It's been this way since I did my swap back in Jan when it was 20 degrees outside......now that it's in the 90's, it still reads kinda high.......aloth higher than my old single ohc ca18 ever did......with the same sender. It read closer to 45 at cruising, and like 20 at idle
