Hey Guys,

I recently had my RMS replaced and my oil cooler seals, both were leaking. It's only been about 500 miles since I had the repair but I noticed an oil burning smell afterwards and figured it was from the first two leaks burning off. So anyway I noticed a few drops in the garage tonight, bear in mind no drops since RMS and cooler seals replaced. It looks like it coming from right above the oil filter, filter had a couple of drops on it. Oil Cooler still looks clean and dry since it was repaired. Can anyone tell me what they think is leaking now? Oil pan, gaskets, o-rings? Give me the bad news. I took pics but you really cant see much, I'll get better ones if that will help though.

Thanks!

I had my RMS replaced and turns out the oil pan gaskets were also leaking. Another $400 on top of that.

Tighten your valve cover gaskets if you haven't yet, the bolts tend to back off a little after a while.

My rear seal was leaking at around 215k miles. I changed the oil with Valvoline MAX and added Lucas stop leak and the leak is gone. The high miles oil helps stop smaller leaks and the Lucas was added measure.

So I had my local shop break it down and see what was leaking. Ended up being the valve gaskets and the FMS (Crankshaft seal). Upper oil pans were fine they said, hope they stay fine lol! Anyway, looks like someone before me already did the valve gaskets but they used s*** ones, so word of caution use good ones. Also had my plugs and belts replaced while they had it in pieces. Found numerous rubber hoses falling to pieces as well, expected on a 15 year old vehicle I suppose heh! Thanks guys!
