2003 350Z. I had a bad o2 sensor (bank 1 sensor 1). I was getting a P0174 code. Went to advanced auto and purchased a BoschPremium Oxygen Sensor with OE SmartLink™. got the old O2 sensor out, and then had to splice the old connector onto the new sensor. I went gray to gray, black to black, and then had 2 white wires (heater wires), and was told that the white wires are the same and it didnt matter which white wire went to which white wire. So i did that. Got it all together and put it back in. I cleared the code and took it for a drive. After a while the service engine light came back on. Cleared it again and it still came back. I am getting code P0031. Is there anything I may have done wrong? I was think maybe I make the wires too long and the resistance may be too high. How can I test this? Thanks

There are 2 oxygen sensors, I believe that code refers to bank 1 which would be the passanger side, which one did you replace?

yeah there are 4 sensors total. The guy at advanced auto it was reading bank 1 sensor 1. But if you are saying bank 1 is the passanger side then i screwed up. Are you positive about that? I thought bank 1 was the drivers side?? Also, any chance you know what gage the wires are on the O2 sensor?

Forgot about the sensors on the manifolds. So it's the sensor int he passenger side manifold. Yes cylinder 1 is passanger side making it bank 1.
