Background: So, I've been considering a new car for awhile now, although I liked what I had (a decent car, no car payment - well it was a 98 Pont Sunfire Convertable with a slit in the roof, and the rear window pushed in, no rear defogger (as it broke), AC needed recharge/fluid and the passenger window took 20 min to go up but it drove great although the puddles of water on the back floor/truck and occasionally on the front seat was a nuisance) I was not going to make through the winter with this car.

Research: Cost, looks, drive and comfort is high on my list. although i tore between a small SUV and car, I've borrowed friends cars too many times that I think a small SUV would have acccomodated. I've seen many Rogues on the highway and MA and really like the look. The only ones that catch my eye more are the Lexus/Acura/BMW all well outside my cost range. After reading this forum, all the car websites, consumer reports I decided if the CVT, the rear view and the drive/comfort all passed my expectations, the Rogue would be my next car. I spent a lot of time reading about the options, comparing the 3 versions, and getting the invoice price.

Test Drive; So i start my vacation on saturday and figure I will test drive the Rogue, I really liked it. 6 hours later I drove it home

HI there, welcome to the NICO Rogue forum and congratulations on your purchase!

We encourage you to contrute often and I'm sure this will add to the enjoyment of your vehicle, particularly considering your plans for upgrades to your Rogue which many of our members have been discussing and implementing.

Also, there is a sticky thread for new introductions so I will be moving your intro under that thread, this is the link:

Finally got my registration and sticker taken care of....(trouble getting the documentation from the insurance company made the process annoying)

I also installed the Kenwood DNX5140. Looks really nice (IMO). The DVD is illegally hooked up to play at all times. The GPS antenna is at the top of the dashboard. All instruments and controls around the stereo still work (phew!)

This was my first stereo install. The complete kit that crutchfield provided was awesome.

I did have to buy a crimping tool + closed end connections I also had to buy screws to attach the stereo to the mount, the screws that came were too short.

I used a pizza cutter to pry apart the console.

Very nice stack316.

I still don't like the fit of aftermarket dash kits. I would be keenly interested in trying the new dash bezel on the 2011's to see if it would work... I really like the look:

Wow, nice find, Tranceboy.

The important thing is that is a DIN2 unit. As long as it is a DIN2 unit, it will fit in the Rogue.

Looks like a really nice unit. I wonder how it stands compare to aftermarket units.

Do you guys know the part number for the 2011 bezel? I tried looking online but most diagrams still only show the 08-10 piece. According to the FSM the name is "cluster lid C".

I have no idea of a part no. Many of the online parts lists do not have the '11 model listed.

It worth a shot to call a dealer and ask them for a part no.

Paid a visit to a local dealer today. Their system lists the part number as 68260-IVKOA, special order only and it's pricey, $130 + tax. For a fraction of the cost I think I'm going to have to go with the Scosche kit.

The showroom also had a 2011 Rogue SV with an aftermarket double DIN unit installed (looks like an AVIC-X930BT), so at least I know the trim opening is the correct size. What I don't know and the dealer couldn't tell me is if the mounting points on the trim are all the same.
