Just a quick intro onto the board. I Was directed to this forum by a mate as a wealth of knowledge when making enquiries about a VH45 conversion into a GQ patrol.
4x4's are my focus and Nissan make the best in my opinion. Currently have a couple of Y60 Patrols. A mildly modified daily wagon with the TD42 diesel motor, and a heavily modified GQ ute, also with TD42 but intercooled turbo with fuel pump mods.
I'm planning a new build using a D21 Navara (hardbody) chassis, Patrol 5 speed transmission, VH45DE, Y61 Patrol axles, linked suspension, and full tube body. Aiming to be a fun offroad toy without the hassles of panel damage.
Anyways, Hoping to soak up some info on the VH's and hopefully answer any questions I have along the way.
