I got my nissan coupe(2.5L, fully loaded) yesterday, and have been experiecing strange things. First off, whenever I make slightly sharp turns, I usually tap my breaks a bit as I turn, and you can hear the tire make a strange sound, and the steering wheel will tighten. I'm not exactly sure what this is, but it's best described as burning rubber, and if I open my windows when it happens, I can smell it too. This has never happend to me when I drove my BMW X5, so I'm not sure how to react to this. Is this normal?

Oh and I also experienced my first seat rattle today. Very annoying. And where can I learn how to use the automatic Manual mode?

That is not normal. Did you check in your front wheel wells for any foreign objects or anything loose? I'm thinking maybe the wheel well shield came loose and is rubbing against the inside of your tire.

But...even if it was on...the display will tell u that ur parking brake is still engaged...i know this because i reversed out of my driveway one day without realizing it was engaged...and it started flashing at me that it is....i thought it was so cool after I almost gave myself a heartattack haha

your steering wheel is tightening up because of your traction control, the traction control reacts to early in these cars. but yea their probably write about the burning rubber smell, but then again u get the smell easy with new factor nissan tires for the first couple thousand miles, my room mate had the same prob with his 350z so thats what ill base the smell on. but yea turn off your traction control then go take a sharp turn and see the difference, or maybe your taking the turn to sharp??
