The Nissan Dealers here in Atlanta are advertising the Nissan Rogue getting 32 MPG. Has there been some engine modification or weight reduction of the car to obtain this???? Everywhere else I read 27mpg hwy.

I've been at 27.2 about 50/50 City/Hwy for the last couple of months. Without AC, I was up to 27.5. So perhaps that claim is true if you only have to drive 50 feet to get to the highway and never have to stop.

Are these claims on TV? Radio? Print?

EDIT: I keep the RPM's at or under 2,000 when accelerating except for on rare occasion. Yes, sometimes people go around me, but what do I care. I love getting behind semi's now. I used to hate it. This way, it's not my fault we are accelerating so slowly.

Good for you. On my SL, AWD, I have around 21.5 MPG - 70/30 City/Hwy. May be something wrong with my car?

The mileage has always been rated at 27hwy/22city for the FWD models, that has not changed. Maybe before you looked at the AWD rating which is a little lower than FWD? I myself get consistently around 32 Highway and 26 city, which I am absolutely thrilled about but that is the result of careful driving habits on my part.

Oh sorry, I misread your post..... yeah I don't know why they are advertising 32, it should be 27 and that is EPA tested, I don't think it is legal to advertise other than what the EPA numbers state.

Well I don't even how much mpg am I getting but question is....do i care? I love the car and the way it drives. Love the 4 cylinder and that's enough for me. As less you looking at the mpg as more you like the car. If you worry that much about mpg then go with versa or at least with altima. Even Altima has better mpg than rogue.

It sounds suspiciously like they are using British Gallons (imperial) which is 1.201 US gallons ... so if you get 27 mpg (us) you would get 27 x 1.201 = 32.4 mpg with Imperial gallons.

That dealer is slimy I think (definitely wtf) ... best to avoid them because who knows what else that may pull?

I'll bet somehow they are combining the mileage of one of the Nissan Cars with the picture of a Rogue, maybe offsetting the picture of the car to the side of the Rogue to confuse someone reading the ad. I've seen this done with prices and payments, why not MPG?

One dealership is painting it on the windows in the car lot. Another has it in print about 4 times a wk. I researched over the weekend and there is no news of new epa mpg. Totally sounds shady to me.
