has anyone attemted to put 3.5l 6 cyl alty/maxima motor into a 94 altima gle w/ 2.4 l 4 cyl dohc. any comments would be welcomed as i want to trade up for some more horses.

To be Honest with you I think you would be better off just buying a newer altima. There is so much technology in the new VQ you might just get a headache messing with it. To answer your question though I have never heard of it being done, but.....Read my sig

well i love my alty and wouldnt get rid of her. can you suggest a different motor swap?

after extensive research i am sticking my ka24de, but adding that t on the end, along with a ton of other stuff. sounds like fun.

I've seen guys put the SR20DET on older sentra se-r's so I don't think it would be that much different for your car.

you can add a turbo to the KA24DE, but a buddy of mine told me that the engine, at it's stock state won't take too much boost. and there would be massive amounts of work needed to strengthen the internals up. for his 240, he decided to go with a sr20 for his s13. but if youre willin to do it, go for it. its all about havin fun right?
