so i got a new t3/t4 turbo (used) in fine condition.i want to put it on the ca with the external wastegate and whatnot but i need a new downpipe and manifold.im putting gtir 440 injectors in with a vortec regulator (if it works on a ca) and getting it tuned too so im not exactly sure how much power ill make. the thing is is that my engine runs fine with now problems but a lil hesitation once it sees boost, i think the stock regulator is dead. the engine alone is completely stock and non-rebuilt. so should it be okay to run these mods without too much fear of anything breaking?

I'm not entirely sure about nissans but damn if 440's support that turbo JESUS thats nothing like subaru's

On my Stock WRX I have 450's..... they barely support my td04 (Smaller than a 16g) as by redline I'm pushing close to 100% IDC's

they ought to do for lower boost applications. i wouldnt go cranking it past 10 or 12psi though. maybe 14psi at close to 100% duty cycle. i wouldnt worry about breaking stuff, the ca is bullet proof when properly tuned.

what does that td04h14t do in terms of lb/min? you are also running a bar of boost in stock trim arent you? i just modded the hell out of a blue 02 wrx. 660cc/min injectors, walbro 255, full exhaust, up pipe, perrin tmic, td05h20g, zeitronix wideband and egt, etc. finally got it tuned right and damn does it haul. good job going with the bug eye.

I am stock now, I did have everything..... I wasn't going for peak horsepower (due to the fear of breaking my transmission), my goal was 300whp....

Vf34, JDM STI turbo, 565cc pinks was the goal...

Either way ona stock wrx, from the factory run high IDC's. It's the way they were designed. Stock go into the 90's, thats with boost tapering off after 6200rpm's to 6psi by redline.

With a MBC running about 1bar of boost to redline will put some cars (depending on climate) over 100IDC....

you should be in good shape mang. itll handle 8 or 9 psi for days.

my buddy is going for a car he can track. he wants 350whp for now, probably more later. as soon as he blows up the short block im gonna help him drop in a version 7 long block and throw a PPG gearset in the transmission. we also dropped some ohlins coilovers in that shiat. let me tell you its sick.

As long as you keep the boost low you should be fine. The motor is good to at least 400hp, as long as you're not spinning it past 7K, you should be fine.

I'd really get some bigger injectors though...

Take my advice, when you have the $$$$ for a wrx, go with an STI... I didnt and I'm regretting it big time.

But those 440's will be great for probably 10-11 psi, one thing I will mention just don't take the rpm's to 8k..... keep them a little low, like shifting at 6500-7000 and the IDC's wont come close to 100

but the point of an 02 wrx is that there was no STI that year. it was all they had so you dont get any cut corners and crap.

lastly, ill rev the CA as high as i damn well please. by the way, did i mention i broke it? haha, god i suck.

Just because you can take a motor apart in a short amount of time doesn't mean that you don't have to buy me beer when I come to Alabama to keep me from making fun of you.

And if you ever come to KS I'll get you good and drunk and put you up on my couch. My wife may not like it, but I've known you longer, and she'll get over it.
