I got the grille painted body color and the license plate trim pieces painted body color as well. These were professionally painted at a local shop here in Orlando, and man did they do an awesome job. I also got my tail lights smoked by a friend. He used black mixed with clearcoat for the base coat, and a few coats of clear on top. I wetsanded them and buffed, and man they look amazing in person. Not quite sure pictures do them justice.

I also ordered new wheels:

Forgiato Otto
Satin face and windows w/ black lip
22x8.5 front and 22x9.5 back
245/30/22 and 265/30/22 Fullway tires (newer company, hopefully they are somewhat decent)

Once I get the wheels put on I'll definitely post pics. Here are some of the work that I've done above.

Let me know what you guys think.

Yep, I'm a big fan of symmetry which is why I left the emblem chrome on the front and back. I should have taken pictures lower to the ground like the rest of you guys, makes the car look better. You can't really tell but I'm lowered with Htechs. Hopefully the 22s don't have any rubbing issues!

effin sick dude. did they remove the trim pieces on the trunk to paint them?

just noticed - did you remove the infiniti lettering from the top trunk trim piece? I just went to my body shop yesterday asking about doing that and getting them painted to match.

I removed the pieces myself. I didn't want to leave the M at the body shop for a week, so I just took the grille off and those trunk pieces too. Taking the inner trunk finisher off is a pain in the a**, but it's much much easier to put back on.

And yes I had the shop sand down the Infiniti lettering. Originally he thought he'd have to fill it in on the backside to make it smooth, but he said there was enough left after making it flush that he didn't need to use filler.

taking the inner trunk finisher off was a pain? Like the black piece on the under side of the trunk lid? Or are you talking about the plastic outer trunk finisher? I can get the inner one off in like 3 mins. Did you replace all the double sided tape on the outer finisher when you put it back on?

Thats so crazy you shaved tha lettering down. My guy said the same thing, that he really wouldnt know until he started taking it down if he was going to need filler or not.

Cant wait to see the wheels on the car !!!

Sorry, I am referring to the outer trunk finisher. Once you detach all the accessory pieces (camera, trunk lock, lights, etc) you only have to remove like 8 or 9 nuts. The biggest PITA is all the double sided tape you have to remove. The piece is very thin and flimsy, so having to pry it up is such a pain. All I can say is be careful and take your time!! And no I did not replace the tape, there was enough left on there IMO to make it form a decent enough seal.

Yes I will be selling the OEMs. They have Michelin Pilot Sports on them with probably about 70% treadwear left. The wheels are in perfect shape, no curb rash, nothing. And of course they will have the TPMS in them.

Let me know how much. Might be interested. Shipped to NY (shipping is usually about $25 a wheel if you deflate the tires from the times I shipped my Maxima wheels to OR and MI).

Good luck on the M though, should look good.

Update:

Wheels have finally been shipped! I should get them in on Tuesday. I'll post pics once they are on and the car is washed, which should be Tuesday night or Wednesday.

Put the wheels on, they look amazing! I will take pictures probably tomorrow.

Quick question though...I got a high disc on the front wheels for BBK clearance. The high disc is making it so the studs barely stick out through the lug nut holes. I mean I was able to tighten the lug nuts on the studs as much as I could, but not nearly as many rotations as the factory wheels with the low disc.

Will this affect anything? The lug nuts not having as much stud to screw into?

Where are the pics?? How's the lug nut issue working out?? I'm assuming you got good tires to protect those bad boys!! Keep an eye on your tire pressure by the way... Saw on your post that your 19" would sell with the TPMS included... Not a good idea bro!! :nono:

I actually got new TPMS sensors with the new wheels! I'm keeping my PSI around 38-40ish, what do you think about that?

Pics will be posted this weekend as I finally have time to clean the car up good. Lug nut issue seems to be fine, they aren't getting loose after driving on them, they are staying snug. I'm getting about 7 full rotations on the front lugs, so I think I'll be fine.

Tires are very cheap chinese brand called Fullway. I'm thinking that's the cause of the loud road noise but who knows?

Pretty much yes to all of the above... Tire pressure MINIMUM on 22" 40 psi for rim/wheel protection... 7 full rotations on lug nuts sounds good! And get rid of those tires before you damage a wheel!! Looking out for pics!! :bigthumb:
