yeah my cats are smelling like rotten eggz so I know its time to get them replaced very soon. So I thought of next best thing...insted of spending a grand or more for cats ill just get me Test pipes

I know i could go with some more expensive ones then the one i picked out...but my friend had those on his G and he had them for 8 months on a car and they didnt trip his check engine light, cuz the O2 sensor is pushed back a little back further....what you guys think and if ya know for a fact of any other brands that dont trip the engine light let me know.Im thinkiing of ordering them this week.thanks

honestly, i'd just say go buy yourself some high flow cats

You can get good set pretty cheap and still be legal and not have to deal with the negative associated with the test pipes.

He's right, high flow cats might cost you around $4-500, and you'll have just as much power increase, and no harsh environmental reprecussions... or unnessesary run - ins with the Police...

I plan to do the same, just waiting for the $$$ to come in... lol

yeah I accually went with a different brand.I purchased the Invidia pipes.... 220$.I almost installed them today but Cant get to one bold so I need to get it done on the LIFT. And the studs and nuts are so rusted that I might need to cut them off. Sometime this will will have it installed...

So yo Phil4watching..... what mods you have in your car so far?I gotMotordyne Mrev2, Motordyne spacer, UR underdrive pulleys, Stillen Airbox, Stillen Ztube, Borla catback exhaust and now Nvidia Test pipes....Plus I got some visiuals like Rear spoiler, Roof spoiler, Autometer gauge (Gtech like), 19" Rims of a 2006 G35 coupe with brembo etc....

I would have went with the High Flow cats but they're like 500 and up... and they're still illegal on the streets. And stock Cats cost way to much.... So I just went with the next best thing which were test pipes... 300bucks cheaper then high flow cats and twice as much HP as hight flow cats...( I wasnt looking at increasing HP, its just that my cats are dying)So we will see how they sound... I'm not a fan of loud vehicles and since my borla exhaust has 3 mufflers I dont think it will get much more louder...

Ill let ya know how it worked out....

Oh yeah and phil4watching You said you have megan test pipes... Did this trip your Check engine light? Or did you have to use spacer for the O2 sensor?let me know how it worked for you...thanks
