wow that's nuts. i wonder how big you can have your rims with those things, is this goodbye to 18"+ rims?

I saw these type of tires about 3-4 years ago when they were testing them for military vehicles. I wonder how they would handle in water and if they're sticky for cnayon running or what not. I'm also interested to know in regards to Blackmobile's question about sizing availability.

These were in Car&Driver a lil while back. I think havin them see though is just to see the technology behind them, I doubt they would ever go to market with a tire that has openings in it. Way too easy to get mud and stuff stuck in there in my opinion. Not to mention looks really stupid.
