Greetings, i have a few questions i would like to ask about my new toy. Is there any way to disable the warning screen on the nav? Its a bit annoying having to hit enter every time i start it up. i had a 05 Tahoe that was stolen (reason for the 56) and a feature it had that i liked is to lock the doors automatically when vehicle is put in gear. Is that an option with the 56? I have my iphone 4 paired and is there any way to get address book to work? Kind of a technical question, but on the battery meter in instrument cluster, it has 4 bars and for me, the middle two are always on. My question is, should the first bar be lit? It is sometimes, but not always. The more i drive i'm sure the more questions i'll have for you guys. Thanks.

Welcome to NICOclub! Cheers from the Armada/QX56 Forum!!!!

- There is a module that can be installed to automatically lock the doors, here is the link http://www.kptechnologies.com/products. ... =Universal

- There is no way to transfer your iPhone address book.
- The first battery bar should be illuminated

Keep the questions coming, not sure how to bypass the Nav safety thing on an '07 or older.

ENJOY!!!!

Thanks for the input. Just a funny question, what color is willow actually? Thought is was a light gray, but when next to the silver of my door, it looks like a light beige. Is the vent on back of console an available part? I am missing the tab that moves vents side to side.

Yes, you can get that part. Also, Willow is a very light beige color.

Hey ronmexico,
I have an 04' QX56 and I had the same problem with the digital dash, where a few bars towards the end of one of the meters were not illuminating. I mentioned it to my dealer during a routine service call and they replaced the entire digital display without question. They said there is no way to just fix the lights on a particular meter that are not illuminating. Sounds like it's a global issue but luckily the dealer was willing to fix it under warranty. Get all of your list of items that need fixing done before your warranty expires, which I presume is coming up within the next year or so for you given you have an 07'. I had a bunch of stuff fixed on mine just months before my warranty expired and my truck has been pretty much fine since then. FYI, not sure if your model year is affected by this but the IPDM (Intelligent Process Distribution Module) goes bad on these trucks and may leave you stranded if it craps out. It's an easy fix if you're somewhat technically inclined/handy and the part is only about $130. It might be best to either proactively replace it or have one on hand in case it does go out. I would google your model year to see if others have had this problem with their 07s. Good luck!
Steve
