Hello all...Just bought this 04 M45 and been driving it for a few days now. I have to say it's quite a step up for me and my family. Been trying to fit my baby and wife in my 03 Cobra but it wasn't working so I sold it and bought this.

11000 miles and $24,000 before taxes etc. I love..love..love this car.

Unlike the cobra, only thing I plan to do is add a much needed subwoofer and probably add some lowering springs. Other than that it's perfect.

Most people don't even know what the hell it is. Might debadge it to keep em guessing.lol.

Nice lookin' ride. I like the blue. Don't think I have ever seen the blue M. I am glad you love it, as we do ours. It looks' as if the windows are slightly tinted, are they??? Welcome to the Forum.

It's probably just the picture. I plan on having a tint job in the future when I get some time. Thanks for the welcome, I hope this forum is active because I plan to spend alot of time on here.

To echo the refrain, welcome my fellow 04'er. We are an even smaller group of an already insanely small group of owners. I think only around 2000 were imported in 2004. Getting one with that low a mileage is killer. The Twilight Blue is a nice color. I have only seen them with the willow(tanish) interior. Cool combo. Do you have the Nav/Intelligent Cruise?Again CongratsM.L

Wow, she's a beaut. ( I am female, so I can say that). Love the ebony interior. And the light wood with the wood shifter is striking. You are very very lucky to find one with such low miles. But, since it is Japanese the miles don't matter to me. But, still congrats to you. For the tint we put 35 percent all around, and 5 percent on the sun-roof/moon-roof. We found that it works well. Not too dark, and not too light. We also have a deep blue Audi A6 with that tint. So we know it would look great on your car. Of course depending on the laws of your state. We seem to have conveniently forgotten the laws in ours LOL. Oh well!!!!!

Good point. Virginia has some of the most draconian motoring laws extant. I am scared to drive fast in that state. It is amazing how tint changes the look of our cars though. It seems that most 2004's were loaded. Mine has the same packages as did most of the 04's looked at.CheersM.L

I'll have to see what the tint laws in VA are. I'm pretty sure they are 35%.

It's funy you say that. Virginia has turned into a police state pretty much. With the huge fees you get for just a speeding ticket. Anyting over 80 is a guaranteed 1000 dollar fine in addition to the ticket. One of my elderley neighbors got pulled over because he was driving in a breakdown lane because a semi wouldn't let him onto the freeway. He got pulled over, ticketed for reckless driving and got the abuser fee. He paid over 1100 dollars for that.

That's why I sold the cobra. No point driving fast in VA so you might as well be comfortable, which the cobra wasn't.

I am so sorry brother. It seems ,in a few years, every state will have speed cameras and we will all be screwed anyway. Though your mileage is insane, I would still consider adding the Elite warranty through Infiniti. It is transferrable and lasts for 7 years from in service date.M.L

The midnight blue/black leather combination is awesome. I tried to find that combination when I was buying my I30, but I couldn't find any. Welcome to NICO and enjoy the Y34.

Tell me about it. I'm from Boston but I go to college in Williamsburg. I got busted doing 55 in a 30 in Massachusetts, and they tossed the ticket no problem. I got busted doing 44 in a 25 (which really shouldn't have been a 25 zone, two lanes on either side with a divider down the center doesn't exactly scream 25 zone) and had to go to court 3 times before I was able to get it dismissed.

That's a sharp color combo! And I thought my '03 with 28,000 miles was low... 11,000 miles, that's unbelievable!

I've had my '03 M45 for 3 years and I still love it. Its styling is unique and the low production numbers mean you'll hardly ever have one pull up next to you at the light. I get a lot of looks and people often think that my M is brand new because the car doesn’t look familiar. When you think about it, normally car manufactures only change the body style on cars when the market gets saturated with the current body style and they need to update it to keep people buying new cars... Especially luxury vehicles.

I second getting the Infiniti Elite Warranty before your factory one expires. The prices vary based on mileage. I just purchased one from my local Infiniti dealership about a week ago as the factory bumper to bumper was expiring on the 22nd of this month. I paid $2,300 for a 60 month / 60K mile plan. I plan on keeping this car for a while and I’m sure it’ll be worth it in the long run. (As nice as these cars are and as much as I love my car, I admit that things do go wrong with it. Without a warranty, repairs would have been expensive.)

An Infiniti with fewer than 20K miles will be eligible for up to a 72 month / 82K mile warranty. The prices depend on your mileage... So your best bet is to wait until just before your odometer rolls over 20K miles, otherwise the max time and mileage limits drop and price increases.

Welcome to the club,

Andrew

Yeah with mileage that low, it is cheaper. Sweet. I purchased mine last February with 29,000 miles at an Infiniti dealership. Since it was Infiniti certified, it was $600.00 to add on top of the C.P.O warranty. The biggest difference there is that once the original warranty lapses, there is no co-pay $50.00 and the stereo/nav unit is covered throughout the warranty. That was the decider for me. 28,000 miles on an 03 is killer as well. Speaking of which, I am getting a brand new steering wheel in my 04' due to the top of the wheel starting to wear. That part alone is about a grand. I am beyond stoked. All I have to do now is replace to tan/greenish shift knob.CheersM.L

I'm not familiar with these cars, last three I had were Mustang GT, Camaro SS and 03 Mustang Cobra. I know those like the back of my hand, but what shocks are best for a lowered M45?

I had Koni sports on my Camaro and those things were awesome. I would think bilsteins valved for whatever spring I put on the M45 would be fine, just need to know what a good spring that is available for our cars is all.

that is the problem; there is nothing available that will compliment the car in my opinion.

Looks great. What's the name of that color? Huge fan of blue, that's why I got an 06 in Twilight Blue Pearl.

Funny you mention your Terminator. That's the car I was dead set on getting before I came back down to earth and realized it's in no way practical in the D.C. area because of the winters.

By the way, were you ever on SVTPerformance.com?

Yeah. My name is Narcosynthesis over there. I haven't been on recently because I stopped messing with the car a year ago.
