Hello everyone! Greetings from cape breton nova scotia :) I have just purchased my first nissan pickup for a cheap $500! Its a pathfinder V6, with a 2 & 1/2 " lift kit, 30" all terrains, and a 5speed. everything works nicely so far! But, after getting it out of 4wd , I found that every time i took power off the rear axle [IE: shift, let off the gas, etc] The truck seems to crab walk? The rear kind of drifts off to the left... But this only happens when i let off the gas.. when i press the gas back on, the truck straightens back out... The frame has seen better days but it is still solid, and has been reinforced with new steel welded in.. Here are some pictures of it if your curious how it looks.

It may be rusty and crusty.. but its trusty!

Welcome.

I am not terribly familiar with the WD21 suspension, but check for play in any bushings around the rear axle and suspension.

Is this Pathfinder 4WD? If so, you need to overfill the transmission! Read under the "Transmission and driveline" section in this thread.

You may wish to register on Nissan Pathfinder Off Road Association as well, since there is a significantly larger population of WD21 owners there.

Okay, I will try to do so tomorrow. I also found out from my friend who did the lift kit on the truck, that the rear shocks we're too short and kind of bottoming out backwards? So instead of being fully compressed, they're being fully extended... And the truck is a 4x4 with a 5spd manual, so i would need to overfill the transmission with gear oil? I am a very novice mechanic, hence why i am taking the automotive trade offered at my high-school.

You must use API GL-4 gear oil only. I listed some options in the thread I linked. If you haven't done so in a while, perhaps just do a complete drain & fill of the transmission and be sure to put the correct amount in.

Sorry, I don't have any advice regarding the suspension. Like I said, you may want to register on NPORA and ask there.
