What up guys just got 1990 q45
im a nube to the infiniti life
I got a few questions
the steering wheel is all messed up and I want to change it to a aftermarket quick release steering wheel. Is there a specific hubs for it . Or can I use a quik release set of a honda because I can get it for real cheap of my boss.

also what do u think about these wheels
the whistler wheels my Q is white and on stock suspension but im changin to z32 coilovers with a inch and half drop

And last thing I want to change the shift knob to a wood knob would there be a big problem with that.

Once again im a nube to infiniti world I came from honda life so any help will be good

welcome to the group my man. youll find things are much different if your are coming over from Honda land. To answer your questions, I am pretty certain the S chassis hub/ steering wheel combo is compatible (240sx S13/S14). Your bosses Honda wheel might be compatible with the hub since I think most imports use the standard 6 bolt steering wheel pattern. However, I would be cautious of the size of the wheel. Q is a big car and you will want a larger wheel to drive it comfortably. Id suggest a 350mm or 370mm wheel. As far as the shifter swap im not too sure on that but from first glance I dont think the shifter knob itself can be removed on our cars but ive never tried.

Before you change out your steering wheel or anything else, I would first find out if you have metal backed timing chain guides.
