Hi
I'm 1Mark
I have a 1989 Nissan Pick-Up 3.0 V6
My engine quit as I was driving on the freeway. No loud noise, it just stopped running. No puff of smoke, no oil behind me. The engine turns over no problem, there's oil on dip-stock. Recently I replaced the Alternator and all of the belts.
What might be the matter?

Welcome to NICO, Mark!

When was the last time you replaced your battery? I ask this because I had a Cavalier that had the same problem and it turned out the battery was so dead that it couldn't hold a charge at all and it led to stalls. My plug wires also compounded the problem, so I would look into your electrical system's health overall as the problem sounds more electrical than mechanical.

Good luck!
