whats up guys!

My names steve, im currently in the middle of putting together a S13 RB20DET build. Ive got the motor trans ecu and wiring off a guy on the 240sx forums on facebook. Picked up the 240 pretty much gutted off a kid on CL.Then I bought Mckinney motor mounts and the Chase Bays brake booster eliminator kit with SS lines. Right now the car is in the middle of being preped for a cage tub and tube before the motor goes in, but were hoping to have the fab work done by the end november 2014(Having my brothers and friends help with the fab work). I started putting together rb20 facts i found scattered throughout the forums, can anyone tell me if these are true or not and the point me in the right direction?Id like to have the motor freshened up before the install. Looks like timing belt, tensioners, and water pump was recently replaced.

RB20DET
RB20 uses the same KA24DE temp sensor
RB20 uses the same driveshafts as the KA24DE whether its non abs and abs
RB20 uses the same trans as the KA24DE just swap the bellhousing
RB20 uses the same KA24DE slave cylinder
RB20 uses the same Speed sensor as the KA24de

NGK# NGKBKR7E
Gapped to .8mm

Stock injectors are high impedance 270cc

My goal is to make this car a street legal real track ready drift car! pics to come once theres something worth showing!

Welcome, I know first hand that a KA24DE's transmission internals will work with an RB. As will an SR (13 & 14), you're also right about having to swap the bell-housings. As for the rest I could not tell you. Search some more or what for someone with more knowledge on the RB20 to reply.

haha thanks man, its a really bad rattle can job. little update on the progress.
wiring specailities harness was ordered since my og harness was cut in so many strange spots. i had the ws harness installed on thrusday night, but the car still didnt crank over. i have still have to do more wiring pinouts to verfiy this harness. hoping to get some time this weekend to figure it out, i know its close!

on a side note my brother, some friends and i went to RSD at pocono. had a blast and killed some tires. cant wait to have this 240 there for another event

I like the yellow too, and that drift event looks fun as hell. Good photographer too.

thanks for all the postive feedback! so i ended up picking up a a rb20 swapped coupe about 2 weeks ago. drove it down to east coast bash and watched some guys shred. man that event was awesome! for now im just going to cruise around in the coupe untill the yellow hatch is running. we got the car crank but the fuel pump isnt priming. im really hoping to have it finished soon so i can take it to the next club loose event! Its tough juggling a few projects.
