hey guys,

new to this forum and have been lurking for a while. figure i'd post a link now that i've figured out how to upload pics. well maybe not upload but at least post a link to photobucket.

anyways, my little brother was in love with 240s and finally bought this one back in 2011 for $3900. he studied every post here for months on how to work on these things. unfortunately he passed away 3 months after he bought her in separate accident. least to say he had huge plans for this car. he was only 18 so you can imagine it hit everyone really hard.

however ever since then i have inherited this car and have grown to love this little thing so friggin much. i always forget things in town on purpose so i have an excuse to take another drive.

after some time i finally have a solid job lead so if everything pans out i can start dropping the money in her soon. some of the first mods i plan on dropping money for are some new coilovers, MT swap, rims, and some new rubber. I've read of guys doing MT swaps on this site claiming they've done in anywhere from $300 up to $1k or more. I've found all of the all of the small swap parts but if anyone can give me a lead for where i could find the actual trans for a fair price itd be greatly appreciated.

this is a great site with a TON of info. anyways thanks for checking this out guys (each link has some different pics and some same. sorry i'll try to fix that) last link is engine btw

Sorry to hear about that, man. Losing a loved one can be one of the worst things to go through.

Thats a clean-a** kouki your brother bought, though. He clearly had good taste.

Welcome to nico :bigthumb:

Fixed the pictures for you. So sorry for the loss of your brother. I'm sure he'd rest well knowing that the car is in your hands.

The car is SUPER clean man, it looks like you've got a nice clean canvas to work with, make your brother proud! Welcome aboard!

Im shame to say have not visited the site in awhile, but I signed in just to reply to this thread. I want to truly offer my condolences to you and your family for the lost of your brother. Its really sad to hear stories like that...

On the other hand, the car is impeccably BEAUTIFUL! Its shocking he only paid $3900 for a kouki in such shape better yet found one as such. What a find and deal! Reminds me of my '95 because its white as well. Anyway I would personally baby that car, and if you plan on proceeding with the transmission swap I hope that you do a full/CLEAN one. I've seen some that looked 'swapped'(I'm sure you can understand the context), and I've seen swaps that looked very original & well done. I'm sure the car holds a great sentimental value to you, and I for one look forward to seeing some updates on this super clean S14. Take care and welcome ;- )!

Just wanted to give a big thanks to krash for fixing the links so the pics are embedded on the page. Makes looking at the post a lot easier. You rock man

Also thanks ullusion and everyone else for taking the time to look at the car and leave a comment. And the answer is yes ullusion- I am going to keep this car super clean and everything I do to it will be done properly and to the fullest extent of complete. I'm not at all about cutting corners even if it means saving a long dang time to to make it happen how it should. This car has made it 17yrs so far looking this good so I'm not about to mess her up.

I also added another picture of what I want her to look like when I'm done. A little color changes in photoshop and this is what I'm aiming for. The exterior isn't going to change a whole lot. Just going for the super clean look with some different (17") rims and adjust the stance a little. And finally adding the black front lip to really put the cherry on top.
